The serratus anterior, or “boxer’s muscle,” protracts the scapula for powerful punches. The sartorius, known as the “tailor’s muscle,” flexes the hip and knee. Medial rectus, the “muscle of marriage,” adducts the eye, while the lateral rectus, “muscle of divorce,” abducts it. Postural muscles, or “red muscles,” sustain endurance.
